Jennifer Kow

Jennifer Kow is currently heading the payments product team at DBS Global Transaction Services. In this role, she manages the P&L for DBS's fast growing corporate payment business across the DBS franchise in the region. The payments portfolio encompass the paper instruments, low value / bulk payments, RTGS and international payments (outgoing and incoming), direct debit products in the markets covering Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India, Indonesia and Taiwan. She has a deep understanding of the characteristics, dynamics, rules, intricacies, regulatory requirements, processes required across the different payments products in the region.

Jennifer carries more than 10 years of experience in Transaction Banking, a career that has also included the banking consulting arm of Ernst & Young and UBS. She has been in her current role for 7 years, and prior to heading up the payments business, she led the regional implementation of DBS's “IDEAL” 2nd generation corporate internet banking platform. She has also experience in project management and implementation, process re-design and re-engineering.

While Jennifer has been exposed to working in Asia, Europe and Latin America, her area of expertise is in the payments products for Asia. Her experience also covers the international and proprietary payment message standards of the in-country local clearing systems. She is also up to date of the payment clearing initiatives under development in the different markets in Asia.
