  • Cooperated with 3 other students of Purdue University to create an automatic control system of a prototype train
  • Arranged group meetings and allocated task to each member to guarantee the progress of the project. Motivated the team under great pressure when the demonstration was due soon
  • Designed a user interface and control algorithm to regulate the train speed in real time and won the best design award among the class

  • Conceptualized and prototyped a smart room where lights, windows and fans can be adjusted automatically according to weather conditions including temperature, sunlight and rain
  • Designed a gesture-control system which controls the room with simply hand gestures
  • Originated the idea with the needs of customers in mind. The system, if used in reality, will bring great convenience to people’ life

  • Organized a photography workshop and a photography competition exclusively for the deaf people in Singapore.
  • Sourced for sponsorship worth more than S$7,000 in two months and raised fund of more than S$3,000 from street sale for Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf)
  • Recruited, trained and motivated more than 100 volunteers during the series of events
  • Established long-term collaboration between Canon and SADeaf to motivate more deaf people to participate in photography events
  • Won Special Award in Citi-YMCA Youth For Causes 2011 and was reported in Lian He Zao Bao
