INSEAD MBA, strategist and innovator
Singapore
I develop long-term, sustainable relationships for the Health Promotion Board. This helps to strengthen our expertise and reputation (i.e. Thought Leadership) for our work in Health Promotion. With a stronger reputation, we will attract and retain better talent, draw upon knowledge shared by more experienced partners and ultimately, serve our nation more effectively.
My work involves regular communications with international and regional bodies such as the World Health Organization and its regional office, academic institutions and nonprofits in the health sector.
Previously at the Board, I worked as a new media expert, advising internal clients of the most suitable channels for their programmes. I managed a number of projects simultaneously, catering to a wide range of target audiences, including youth and young adults. My work was recognised numerous times in the Singapore media:
- For launching the very first podcast by a Government agency (Dec 2005)
- For founding the Gahmen Bloggers group, which supports fellow Government officers who wished to start blogs for their agencies. (Straits Times interview, Aug 2006)
I have also spoken at training courses and conferences on various aspects of social media.
Past experience includes online branding in a technology advisory role, and multitasking as a designer and writer under very tight deadlines. To work effectively in such environments, I ensured there was close communication with the rest of the team and respect for different views.
Underlying my varied work experience is an unwavering interest in people - understanding where they're coming from, align our interests and forge win-win relationships. I see the big picture and think out of the box to solve problems, and thrive in an environment which allows me to take the initiative. I am known as a good communicator and influencer.
Give me the opportunity to help you change your world.
