(Partnership; Financial Services industry)
November 2007 — September 2009 (1 year 11 months)
I worked within the Western Europe Business Center, under the supervision of a Singaporean Partner and a French Manager.
I reached the grade of Senior Auditor and I leaded teams for the audit of European SMEs based in South East Asia. I had the responsibility to deliver quality and compliant works, to identify and solve audit issues, to meet the deadline set by my Manager and to provide on-the-job training to junior team members.
I also participated to the due diligence for an acquisition by a French MNC in the Sports & Entertainment industry in Singapore (value of target > USD 100m).
I was successfully rated 5/5 by Ernst & Young LLP’s Partners in 2008 and 2009.
(Partnership; Management Consulting industry)
September 2006 — July 2007 (11 months)
I worked within the Multinational Industry Companies department, where I participated to the audits of French industrial MNCs (mainly Vinci and Alstom).
I worked closely with experienced Chartered Accountants and I acquired strong skills in Financial Accounting. I learnt how to decode financial statements and how to value the financial results of a business. I started to learn IFRS standards.
(Non-Profit Organization Management industry)
September 2004 — May 2005 (9 months)
I helped two ESCP Europe’s former alumni start up a soccer training center in Bamako, in partnership with the professional French clubs AS Monaco and FC Metz.
In particular I created the education program (mainly teaching of literacy, IT and mathematics) for the first thirty players; I set up management tools like cash statements and reporting worksheets; and I launched communication campaigns (e.g. newsletters, organization of tournaments).
We achieved successful results as soon as 2005: about 10 of our players learnt how to speak and write, the under-12’s team ranked 2nd in the Bamako league. In 2008 the under-20’s team reached semi-finals in the Second Division league.
