I have seven years of research and consulting experience in human capital management, employee engagement, talent management, knowledge management and learning & development; and seven years of experience managing international engineering projects. In my current role with CPA Australia, I strategize and implement the learning and development programs to serve the members’ professional development needs. As a senior research associate with Watson Wyatt, I played a key role in enhancing the thought-leadership of the firm through thought-provoking research in the area of human capital consulting. As a doctoral researcher, I spent five years investigating ways to improve employees’ motivation to share knowledge at the workplace. As a project manager in Bridgestone, I have led various large scale and complex engineering projects across Asia, Europe, and the USA. I am passionate about issues related to workplace motivation, human capital and knowledge management, and always keen to learn and conduct research in these areas. I am active in the KM community and have served in the Information and Knowledge Management Society (iKMS) as an executive committee member. I am a firm believer in individual differences and evidence-based decision making. I have substantial international working experience, having worked, lived, and traveled to more than 20 countries.
I am fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin and several other Chinese dialects. I love all kinds of sports although I have little time for them now. I like good books and jazz. I have a beautiful family, a loving wife and an adorable ‘angelic’ little princess.
